As anyone with a planted aquarium knows, fertilizers are an escential part to having a vibrant, and healthy planted setup. Plants need nutrients in order to thrive & grow, to stay healthy, and colourful. There are 4 things needed to sunstain plant life in the aquarium atmospere, these things are a good substrate to feed nutrients to the roots, a co2 source, efficient lighting, and nutrients that plants need.
Aquarium fertilizers are a great source for giving plants the nutrients they need to live; I have found a secret weapon for added nutrients not only for plants, but for you live stock as well. It helps now only growth in plants, but it also helps shrimp to maintain a strong exoskeleton, it helps to boost the immune system in fish to fight against parasites/disease, and helps in doubling the growth rate and size of everything in the planted aquarium.
This secret weapon is known as Azomite, Azomite contains almost every known element that can be found on Earth. Now I'm sure you noticed the 12ppm of Copper found in Azomite, let me asure you that it has NO effect on shrimp, snails, etc.... I've used it with shrimp, and snails in my tank with no effects what so ever. Azomite is actually used at shrimp farms around the world, it's used as a feed additive for live stock at farms, it's used in gardens to help double the size of vegetables, and it's used in fish farms around the world!!!

WARNING
Azomite should ONLY be used in moderation because too much Azomite at one time will actually start killing plants. Now for me, I go with 1/2 teaspoon of Azomite per 55 gallons of water once per month, which for my plants is the perfect ratio, and the plants doubled in size in the first month of use.
